Check out all the great Opportunities to Serve

Birthday Clubs

The Birthday Clubs serve as a small HELPS group within the larger body of the church. Every female member upon becoming a part of our church family becomes a member of a birthday club. Based on the month in which each lady was born, they become a part of that month’s birthday club. The chairladies of these clubs realize their importance in communicating the needs within their individual clubs and assisting, on a smaller scale, to rectify the need.
Our church mother oversees the functioning of the Birthday Clubs and upon becoming a member of the church family, ladies receive a call from our church mother and a call from her birthday club chairlady. (If this does not occur, the lady is advised to please contact the church mother.) Additionally, each member is given a “Birthday Buddy” who specifically communicates with her buddy to promote sisterly love and concern.

Hospitality Ministry

“Serving Christ by Serving Others” is the mission of this ministry. The ladies serving in the Hospitality Ministry operate inside the sanctuary of the church to assist members
and visitors attending services. They provide support during morning worship, at anniversaries, and special services operating in the local church.

Greeters Ministry

“Providing a friendly, welcoming first encounter” to all who enter our edifice is the mission of this ministry. The ladies serving in the Greeters Ministry operate at all entrances to the church. They are the official welcomers to the church. They are available to give directions and answer questions as needed.

Ushers Ministry

The responsibility of the Usher’s Ministry is to meet attendees at the sanctuary
door and see that they are properly seated. During offering time, if offering envelopes are needed, the usher secures them for the member
or visitor.

Young Women’s Christian Council (YWCC) and
Christian Women’s Council (CWC)

At Mason Temple these two ministries operate under the same leadership team. The YWCC is comprised of ladies ages 18-40 and the CWC is comprised of ladies over the age of 40. Following the teaching
of our church, it is believed that CWC has the responsibility to share lessons and insights to the YWCC who become accountable for applying lessons shared by the senior ladies. This Responsibility/Accountability need guides the leaders to plan some sessions where these groups meet together and other sessions when they meet separately. The focus is on establishing and maintaining Godly standards in church behavior, community relationships, home building, child rearing, and self-improvement.

Business and Professional Women’s Ministry

This ministry promotes the importance of non- compromising ethics and Godly lifestyles in the business world. The leaders sponsor and/or coordinate seminars, workshops, and other forums with the purpose of sharing expertise and training others.

Overcomers Ministry

This ministry provides a forum for those who have successfully been delivered from conditions that were harmful and ungodly to share and guide others who desire to live a different lifestyle. Using an unjudgmental approach, sessions are planned to share information and encourage each other. With the
societal influence of drugs, alcohol, teen pregnancy, and the lack of proper moral and Christian standards in society, this ministry offers private and small group support.

Prayer Warriors Ministry

This ministry operates under a leadership team that is dedicated to
fasting and prayer with great compassion and love for the church and a burden for souls. Prayer warriors undergird those in leadership positions, the church membership, the community, and prayer requests that are received.

Singles Ministry

The goal of the Singles Ministry is to minister to single adults attending the church by providing fellowship opportunities, support group discussions, and open dialogue within the group.  The group prayerfully strives to empower and equip singles to become devoted followers of Christ.  Singles are further encouraged to strive for greater involvement in the church by utilizing their gifts and talents.

Church Beautification/Decorating Committee

This ministry is responsible for assuring that the décor of the church edifice is neat, attractive, and seasonally appropriate at all times.

Missionary Circle

This ministry consists of ladies who have a calling to ministry. They are licensed and receive credentials from our National Church. Based on their calls and licensing status, some ladies serve as Deaconess Missionaries or Evangelist Missionaries. Their outreach is defined in the COGIC Women’s Department Handbook. The missionaries are strong supporters of local, jurisdictional, and national guidelines.

Clergy Wives(Pastor’s, Elder’s, Minister’s)

Ladies in this ministry are the wives of the pastor, elders, and ministers. They serve as a support group for each other as they meet for fellowship
opportunities and relevant discussions. Clergy Wives are actively involved in the women’s work of the church and are strong supporters of the ministry.

Deacons’ Wives

This ministry consists of ladies who are married to a deacon or the widow
of a deacon. They exemplify strong support of their husbands’ roles in the church and share their husbands’ commitment to service.
