The Wrong Jesus

Today, we're challenged to examine which Jesus we're truly following. Are we choosing the Jesus of comfort, or the Christ of conviction? The story of Jesus and Barabbas from Matthew 27 reminds us that sometimes we opt for what's familiar or convenient, rather than embracing the transformative power of the true Christ. Just as the crowd chose Barabbas over Jesus, we often choose our own desires over God's will. Yet, the beautiful message is that even when we choose wrongly, Jesus still chooses us. He bore our sins, took our place, and offers us redemption. This Palm Sunday, let's reflect on whether we're waving palm branches as a mask or truly surrendering our lives to the one who can make us new. The call is clear: choose the real Jesus – the one who challenges us, changes us, and loves us unconditionally.
