Who Are You
This powerful message confronts us with a fundamental question that echoes through our lives: Who are we? In a world consumed by identity confusion, where people struggle to define themselves by race, gender, appearance, and countless external markers, we're reminded that true identity can only be found by consulting our Maker. The sermon takes us through the transformative journey of salvation in three critical phases. First, there's the positional phase where we are instantly made righteous through Christ when we confess our sins and believe in His resurrection. This isn't just a formality; it's a cosmic transaction where heaven's gates open and we are baptized into Christ's body, becoming perfect in our position before God. But the journey doesn't end there. The second phase, sanctification, is where we spend most of our Christian lives, becoming by experience what we already are in Christ. This is the battlefield where the devil attacks our minds, where we carry our crosses, and where God equips us through His Word to live out our new identity. The message powerfully reminds us that we don't do right things to become righteous; we do right things because we already are righteous in Christ. Every trial, every temptation, every struggle is designed to prepare us for the final phase: glorification, when we see Jesus face to face and all our troubles will be over.
