Try Me and See
What happens when we are falsely accused, stripped of everything we hold dear, and left searching for a God who seems nowhere to be found? That is the raw and honest territory we explore through the story of Job, specifically Job 23:10, where Job declares that God knows the way he takes, and that after being tried, he shall come forth as gold. This message confronts us with a truth we often resist: suffering is not always the result of sin or failure. Sometimes it is the result of being recommended. Sometimes God allows the fire precisely because our faith is worth refining. We are challenged to stop demanding explanations for what we are going through and instead trust the character of a God who is sovereign, all-knowing, and working even when we cannot see him. The spiritual lesson here is profound and practical. Tested faith is not a sign of abandonment. It is evidence of value. Just as gold must endure intense heat, be reduced to powder, and pass through acid before it becomes something pure and beautiful, our faith must be broken down and rebuilt through trials before it reflects the glory God intends. The question this message places before us is simple but searching: are we willing to endure the process in order to come forth as gold?
